In 2000 Perry Atkinson the Manager of the Christian station in Medford, Oregon USA went to New Zealand to be a speaker at the UCB International conference. He went home so impressed with the organisation that in a short time he bought back the station he was managing and made it a UCB affiliate. The Dove in Medford was the first affiliate in the United States. It expanded its vision with the start of Dove TV in 2010.

Shine 1220 AM in Providence, Rhode Island, did a U-turn: with new ownership it became a Christian formatted station and in just a short time began to make a huge difference in the area. Shine 1220 AM soon joined the UCB International family.
