Dear friends,

My visits to Northern NSW, South Australia and most recently Tasmania have reaffirmed my belief that people living in our small towns often struggle with a lack of resources that can be taken for granted by people living in the bigger cities and centres. As I've had the opportunity to meet with people in these small and isolated communities it has once again brought into sharp focus the importance of UCB's ministry.

I am committed to UCB providing essential services such as PrayForMe, devotionals for their youth and Vision radio for these small and often forgotten communities.

In some of these communities we saw a grand church building but in talking to locals we found that there are only a handful of Christians being ministered to by a part-time lay preacher. However, thanks to your wonderful support and God's blessing, an increasing number are able to access Vision, The Word for Today, word4U2day and PrayForMe!

Some called UCB "their lifeline" and for others we are their only church! Praise the Lord that He has enabled us to be there - ministering His love and hope!

Through Vision they have world class teaching and music right at their fingertips. And, if they are hurting and in need of a touch from our loving God, through PrayForMe they have someone to talk to, someone who will hear their need and a friend who will pray with and for them.  

It is an absolute privilege and the wonderful fulfilment of a long held dream that today everybody in Australia can be blessed by UCB's PrayForMe ministry.  

Jesus said: "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' Matt 25:37-40 NKJV

PrayForMe's 1800 phone service is very cost effective with each call costing on average only $2. We are now receiving 1000 calls each month so this month I want ask if you are willing to help us meet this monthly expense. If 75 people join our Partnership Plus programme this month with 10 committing to $50 a month, 20 to $30 a month and 45 to $20 a month, will see this regular expense met and 1000 people ministered to each month.
