Rhema Broadcasting Group

Rhema Broadcasting Group (RBG) in New Zealand is the birthplace of the international UCB family. Today their broadcast coverage consists of three national radio networks (New Zealand's Rhema, Southern Star, Life fm), one national, digital TV network (Shine TV) and two quarterly national publications, The Word for Today and Word for You Today.
RBG was begun by Richard Berry in 1961 but it wasn't until 1978, after a long, difficult and prayer-filled campaign, that Radio Rhema [now called New Zealand's Rhema] gained a broadcast licence. At that time it was first Christian radio station established in New Zealand, and also in the British Commonwealth. Today RBG is the third largest radio network in the country.
RBG has been the inspiration and hope for many people around the world to get Christian radio stations established in their own countries, including Australia.
