September : Terrorism

Many people have been affected either directly or indirectly by terrorism. It is a menacing word that brings mental pictures of bombings death. It is a cancer in today’s society that has seen many innocent people suffering at the hands of people pushing a political/religious agenda that has nothing to do with the truth.

Jesus said “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6. We can have confidence in the Christ, our Saviour because He is the truth and knowing the truth will set you free (see John 8:32).

This month is the anniversary of the 9/11 Twin Towers disaster. Closer to home many will still remember the Bali bombings, so let us pray for...

God’s peace and grace for the families and friends of all terrorism victims
Wisdom for the nation’s leaders who are involved in the ‘war on terrorism’
The terrorists themselves that they will be set free from this deception by coming to a knowledge of the truth in the person of Jesus Christ

Let’s combat this ‘giant’ through:

1. sincere repentance

2. prayer & fasting

3. dedication to the Word

4. Godly action

5. speaking truth
