May: Alternative lifestyles

'To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.’ Titus 1:15

Many lifestyles which are in direct opposition to God’s Word are becoming increasingly socially acceptable. But this doesn’t make them right.

This month, let’s pray into the ‘giant’ of alternative lifestyles.

Alternative lifestyles can include homosexuality, bisexuality, metro-sexuality, etc., and related issues such as same-sex marriages and the adoption of children by same-sex couples.

Everyone seems to have their own opinion when it comes to alternative lifestyles. But our only point of reference for what is and is not acceptable, must be the Bible.

Let’s pray for the continued spread of the Good News, that all will hear of God’s provision of salvation for those who turn to Him in repentance and faith.

At the same time, let’s recommit ourselves to more diligently studying His Word and praying, that we may be better equipped to deal with today’s issues.

Let’s combat this ‘giant’ through:

1. sincere repentance
2. prayer & fasting
3. dedication to the Word
4. godly action
5. speaking truth
